PCI Council Announces 2014 Special Interest Group Project Proposals
WAKEFIELD, Mass., 22 August 2013 — Today the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), an open, global forum for the development of payment card security standards, announced the list of Special Interest Group (SIG) proposals for consideration as 2014 projects. Participating Organizations and assessors that submitted the SIG ideas will present them at the 2013 North American and European Community Meetings in advance of an online election in November.

A Russian language microsite has been added to the PCI SSC website, which also includes translated supporting documents and resources for standards implementation.

PCI Security Standards Council Updates Standard for PIN Transaction Security
WAKEFIELD, Mass., 07 June 2013 — Today the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), an open, global forum for the development of payment card security standards published version 4.0 of the PIN Transaction Security (PTS) Point of Interaction (POI) requirements. These requirements, along with the Hardware Security Module (HSM) requirements provide standards for device manufacturers to ensure merchants and others have secure devices for accepting and processing payment cards.
