PCI Security Standards Council Releases Best Practices for Mobile Software Developers

PCI Security Standards Council Releases Summary of Feedback on PCI Standards
WAKEFIELD, Mass., September 05, 2012 —The PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), a global, open industry standards body providing management of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), PIN Transaction Security (PTS) requirements and the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS), today released a summary of feedback from the PCI community on the PCI Security Standards. The document highlights key themes coming out of the Council’s formal feedback period on version 2.0 of the PCI DSS and PA-DSS, in preparation for the next release of the standards in October 2013.

PCI Security Standards Council Qualified Integrators and Resellers Program Now Available
WAKEFIELD, Mass., August 15, 2012, Year—The PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), a global, open industry standards body providing management of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), PIN Transaction Security (PTS) requirements and the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS), today announced availability of the Qualified Integrators and Resellers (QIR)™ Program. This new PCI SSC program will train and qualify integrators and resellers that sell, install and/or service payment applications on the secure installation and maintenance of PA-DSS validated payment applications to support merchant PCI DSS security efforts. PCI Security Standards Council Announces Qualified Integrators and Resellers Certification Program
WAKEFIELD, Mass., May 10, 2012 — The PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), a global, open industry standards body providing management of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), PIN Transaction Security (PTS) requirements and the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS), today announced plans to train and certify payment software integrators and resellers on the secure installation and maintenance of validated PA-DSS applications into merchant environments to support PCI DSS compliance.
